they were kept in a tank with males in the shop, quite possible they are both pregnant one has kinda gone squarish the other just look pot bellied

Lil ME, that works OK for a guppy but most mollies are not transparent, they have color in their skin. That means that the gravid spot cannot be seen. You need to judge a molly by her size and how well squared off she is. A molly can look well along in terms of size merely by being well fed so it really comes down to shape. If you can get a picture up, I can try to compare it to the shapes I have on file for different stages of fry development and may be able to give a half decent estimate.

i bought 2 black mollies yesterday, one looked rather fat, i came down to around 10 babies this morning.

cool how big are the fry when they first come out

i think they are pregers cause one is getting squarish more and more and they came from a tank with like 20 males in it , they are black mollies thier anuses are white and they have small whit dots in places

Newborn molly fry look the size of these newborns. Picture taken at less than 8 hours old. (They were there when I got home from work that day)

i hink they have about a week left i will keep posted if i need a hand or a brain!

i want to seperate because i have some merciless fish in my tank so i would realy like if i put her in a fry trap so i can raise em in it, what would i feed the fry?

You feed the molly fry crushed adult flake. I go heavy on the vegetable flake with mollies because it seems to help them grow healthier than a plain flake does. Mollies need some form of veggies in their diet and mine get crushed spirulina flake more than anything else.

wow thank you have been the most help! shes definatly squaring off the back end is nearly at th same level as the front
