I Think I Bought A Parrana

evil little thing, got one more while at lfs buying new live plants, moved the whole tank around floated her then let her out with the girls, she beat the crap out of everybody! espicaly the mommy from my latest spawn and my fave ct girl the hopeful mommy of my next brood..had to seperat her like i do my guys, i dont know what to do could she be a very young ct male? its a 10 gal tank that now has 5 girls in it ,, i have one more real small ct that i was fattinging up till she could play in the big tank but i wanted to even the number a bit before i put the baby in. the parrana is a realy pretty whitish blue ct with very light purple on her /his? fins,, but she is going to go to a single fishie home soon if she dose that crap again

i had the same problem.. come to find out it was a boy lol... i was rather upset.. my girls are still recovering from that brutal beating

I did not get to see her/him yet, do you think you bought a boy? Ill come over and take a pic or two if you want.

You could try removing all the females (bag them up), and rearrange everything in the tank. Keep the females out for at least an hour. Then float them as you would with new fish and release them all together. Make sure there are lots of hiding places and plants.

yea sis u might have to ,, it keeps folowing juliett around and sometimes flares at duke or spaz, but i never get a good look at it when she/he dose so i havent seen all her/his gills
