I need to find out what this fish is! I cant find my recipt for him, all I know is that he's a male, light brown, dark spotted male gourami. Anyone have a website with all the gouramis?

No, thanks. Its only spotted on the very top. And the circles are larger and very round.

A picture would be extremly helpful

To begin with, are you positive it's a gourami? does it have venterals? (Those are the "feelers") I imagine that there are lots of fish which are light brown and have dark spots

I've tried, but my digital doesn't like my computer. I'm 100% sure its a gourami.

Ok, so its not a chocolate gourami. :dunno:

Can you please answer my questions from my previous post? That will help consideraby. Is it not a pearl then?

How do you know it's a male?
Does he have two long, thread-like fins?
What size is he?

Is this your fish?

Form a website I found

Trichogaster trichopterus (Pallas, 1770), the Blue, Opaline (marbled), Gold, Three Spot Gourami, and other common names for its many sports. Asia: Mekong and Xe Bangfai Basins, Indonesia and Malaysia. To six inches maximum length. Conds: pH 6-8, dH 5-19, temp. 22-28 C. Female Three Spot, male Gold varieties shown.

The pic is of the gold :D

HTH

Maybe it is the gold considering size but they do have thread-like fins. What I meant by that, BTW, is long ventral 'feelers' like those the pearl gourami in your signature has.

About knowing the gender - how do you know? Are you just assuming or is your descision based on its behaviour or some other physical characteristic? It would be much easier to identify what kind of fish it is if you could answer this question.
