I’ve been feeding it about once a week, to any of my tanks, with shrimp, or sucker mouthed fish… but all fish get excited when I dump a glug of the shaker bottle in…. Every single fish, up to the 8 - 10 inch Tin Foil barbs, gets excited, and tries to take in as much as they can… I started thinking it would be beneficial for my bio film eaters, but now I believe it’s beneficial for all fish…

Glasgarten Bacter AE is a water additive specifically designed to improve the biological filtration, microflora, and microfauna in shrimp tanks . It adds important microorganisms, amino acids, and enzymes to the aquarium water.

I’ve gone through several jars of the stuff, since I started using it… I mix it in a dedicated shaker bottle, and all the fish get excited when I pour a glug in… so far none of my fish have turned into anything like a werewolf… and you can see them sucking it out of the water, and it settles on surfaces, and everyone seems to like it with no negative effects yet… but again, I started using it for shrimp ( which it’s intended for ) and my biofilm eaters… but everyone is addicted…

So… my original thought, is it may help with supplementing my bio film for my Hillstream’s, then I began adding it to any tank that had Oto’s or Pleco’s… but lately I’m noticing more brilliant colors on several fish… and yes, my water is good, the environment is good, and the fish are getting more mature, and those could be good reasons to seeing better colors, but those conditions have been the same for a while, and since I began adding it to my South American Tetra tank… for my Gold Nugget Pleco, and Zebra Oto, in that tank, I’m noticing more brilliant colors on my Electric Blue Rams, and my Brilliant Rummy Nose Tetras…
Everyone looks exceptionally healthy and happy…

I've been using Bacter AE, also their Shrimp Baby and Mineral Junkie supplement.

The results are absolutely marvelous. Even my Nerites have beautifully replenished their shells and fixed all their gaps and scratches.

I ordered some of their Shrimp Fit, Dinner Pads and some Lollies are on their way, I cant wait to try a lolly.

I think they make the best stuff for invertebrates I ever used.

I use Bacter AE twice a week in my dedicated shrimp tank and in two other fish tanks that have shrimp. Shrimp and fry love it.

Has anyone done any tests with the stuff?
eg: Have two tanks set up the same with the same number of shrimp in each tank. Do water changes and filter cleaning at the same time. Feed one tank with the Glasgarten Bacter Ae and withhold it from the second tank. Then monitor both tanks over the next 12-24 months?

If I had not used it, the tank probably wouldn't have lasted 2 months. It instantly multiplied the baby survival rate by tenfold.

But the fact that Magnum mention that much larger fishes loves it too, there must be something good inside.

I mean, for a large fish to take the time to forage such microscopic particles. It's much smaller than baby brine shrimps. Aquatic Art use it in all their breeding tanks.

My 3/4 grown pink kisser gourami swims into the cloud, before it disperses, and you can see it sucking in and filtering through its gills
