I Rescued Another Betta

I call him Prince Amadala because he has the red lip streak lol.
Anywho I said rescued and not bought because that's the real term. He really caught my eyes and I don't usually buy double tail betta,but I love his transparent teal like color and tail.
Also it's been almost a week and this guy hasn't flared up once at a mirror. I wonder why not because some people say flaring up is a good sign of a healthy betta, but this guy just swims around next to it.
Did some research and they also said that some betta actually can tell and requires a live betta next to him with a different color, hmm who knows.

Wow, he's beautiful! You're very lucky. I love how you can see through him, and the streak on his lip. LOL!
Some bettas just don't flare. Belive it or not, I envy you. That probably means that he's less aggressive, and so you can put other fish in with him. LUCKY! All my bettas are super aggressive.

That fish has to be a girl.... any fish that wears a pretty chiffon dress, blue eye shadow and pink lipstick has to be a girl just kidding he's exquisite. Although I thought he looks like a delta tail I can't see the split tail.

You're right, I meant to say Delta and now that I look closely... He does look pretty girly and sparkly, didn't notice the eye shadow too hehe!

re the flaring - my betta does not flare, seen him flaring once - when he got attacked by a platy... a lil flaring (whould not even call it flare) now and then when i place a mirror in front of the tank, but that usually gets ignored...

again, beautiful fish and would love to see more pics

Absolutely stunning!! Totally gorgeous colouring and such a pretty face! I would be the happiest girl in the world if I could find a betta like this in my lfs! They don't come prettier than that!

My Betta doesn't flare either. I've seen him do it once.......at me when I did his first water change. But that's it, he won't do it in fron the mirror and I took a risk and added 6 Embers last weekend and eh's been fine with them. He doesn't seem to have much of an agressive streak at all. When I added the Embers he went and sat in his coconut cave for half an hour with just his head sticking out (v cute) and then got over it and came out again.

Lol my point is I don't think all Bettas are like that these days.

Both of my boys flare at their treat food; I think they get too excited
