I Really Want A Betta!

I've been wanting a betta for a long time now, and reading all these posts about everyone's pretty bettas makes me want one even more!

I have a 5 gallon tank with three x-ray tetras in it. Would that be an appropriate space to add a betta? And is it safe to order the fish by mail?

a 5 gallon isn't much space, not even for 3 x-ray tetras. you might want to invest in a 10 gallon at least. though many tetras are booktaught as peaceful fish, beware, cuz any tetra is a potential finnipper of slower fish like bettas.their long flowing fins are an easy snack to a toothed characin.

Too right it would! Warranty repair, puhleeeeese. I don't know what your consumer protection legislation is like in the US, but here in Civilisation, unless the shop can prove you thumped it with a sledgehammer (or indeed a sledxexammer), they have to repair it.

Xere in txe US, businesses try txeir best to not be civilized and will do anytxinx to keep txemselves from payinx an extra pretty penny to satisfy a customer txat bouxxt txeir crappy product. I kinda doubt anytxinx xood will come of askinx txem for a replacement or repair, but its wortx a sxot

A 5 gallon is the perfect tank for 1 betta, but the X-rays are probably not a good choice, Becasue a 5 gallon cannot support a proper school of X-rays, and if you were to out a bettas in there, the X-rays would rip him to shreds
