I Really Like Interesting Looking Fish

post pictures of some really interesting fish and tell me the name of it, i really like interesting or abnormal fish. here are some examples, i have a kuhli loach, kinda interesting snake lookin thing, i have a hill stream loach which is the coolest freshwater fish ive ever seen, i have a pleco that looks like it came right out from the dinosaur era, and i have a zebra loach that has colorfull stripes on it.. so if you know of an interesting fish i wanna hear about it...

Dwarf Puffers are interesting fish that have lots of personality and can be kept in small tanks happily. Keep in mind that each fish has tis own needs and requires a tank of proper size to keep. There is a differance between looking happy and being able to thrive AND have room to live in. Also what type of Pleco do you have?

my tank used to be all dwarf puffer tank, i had 4 in my 10 gallon tank... then they all kinda, died off after having them for about a year, so now i went to commnity tank so i wasnt stuck with just one species.

i spose i have a regular pleco.. about a inch long and its just.. brown...

Yeaaa a reguar pleco needs at least 45+ (I cant remember spacifics but its probably more) to be happy. It will stunt its growth and live painfully in such cases. Community tanks are those with fish that have similar needs and are kept in proper numbers. Its important to know about each fishes needs rather then wants.

Oh and did your DP fight alot and what was the Ratio of Male to Female?

plecos grow slow, for now with him only being an inch long, 10 gallon is fine, when you were born you didnt have a king size bed, you had a crib, altho a king size bed as a baby would have been nice, its not necassery, as you got bigger you got a bigger bed, same thing with fish... as they get bigger they get a bigger tank


im going to be getting a 55 gallon tank in a few weeks any way, so im sure he will do just fine untill then

didnt mean any dissrespect and i wasnt speaking harshly, just calling them as i sees them

i had 1 male and 3 female DPs, they didnt fight at all, only during feeding sometimes hehe

Ah well seeing as your getting a larger tank very soon thats a differnet story but that was more geared twords people who dont think upgrading at all is needed (meet alot of them recently). I decently suggest upgraded your Loach groups as soon as possible, I plan to get some soon myself and am looking forward to it.

Sorry type. I meant to say that you should upgrade your current Loach Stock so that each type has a group. This way they will express there true personalities and there much more fun to watch.

well like i said, im going to get a 55 gallon tank here pretty soon, when that happens then yea, ill get more, i have big plans for my new tank... i dont know what they are yet.. haha, but they'll be big, its going to be a rediuclous jump from a 10 gallon to a 55 gallon... but im really looking forward to it
