Hey guys and gals!

What are some of the easiest plants to grow?

I have a 6 gallon tank with eco complete substrate, no Co2 injection and a dinky 8 watt stock florescent light. I really want to keep this tank as simple as can be. I already have some crypts in there that have grown nicely since i started the tank (about 2 1/2 weeks ago) and was wondering what other plants are very easy to grow.

Some of the common plants that i know are easy are java fern, java moss but are there any exotic looking plants that will grow in my setup?

I would really like to add some reds to my plant life (is possible).

Also, a tank this small with a low tech setup, is there a limit to how many plants i can have?

Best regards,

I think some of the very simplest plants I've experienced are small anubias tied to round rocks that weight them down. You can easily grab them out of the tank while doing things in there. WD

cool, i def check those out.

Cryptocoryne parva, lutea, etc. Marsilea minuta, crenata, hirsuta. All mosses should be alright granted that they are truely aquatic. Needle leaf java fern is good too. Perhaps Rotala Rotundifolia would be good for a dash of red. While it's not red, it does blush pink at the tips.

The above are pretty easy to grow and tend to stay very small, so you'll create the sense of a larger tank.
