I Need Your Help

iv got an opaline gouramis which has a piece of something stuck in its gill
it looks like a stem of a plant or something but i have no real plants in there
its been there for about 3 days now and the gouramis is just staying near the bottom not eating
what should i do???
i mean you cant just pick it up and pull it out can you???
please help

Could be a Cartesian parasite of some form by the sound of it. Please post a pic and water stats for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH ASAP.
