ok, soon i will be cleaning my nan's tank out which is a 4ft, it currents has a 12" common pleco, which is 18 years old.

ive asked her what she wants, she deffontly wants guppys.

ive just made a few serjestions to myself

2 male guppys,
3 - 4 female guppys,
1 - 2 rams,
some sort of gourami,
maby keyholes??

what do u think u can stock with guppys?

if she really likes guppies, and if your not wanting lots of fry, you could have a large group of males, in bigger groups, aggression dies down, and they will be lots of color.aswell as guppies, other livebearers would work well, tetras and other small shoaling fish usally work in that type of tank.most gouramies i would have thought will be fine, personally kissing or dwarf gouramies as they are my favourites.im sure a couple of small rams would work, but never keeping them myself and going on what ive read, someones elses opinion is probally best.i havent heard of keyholes so cant comment. what are you going to do with the plec?with a tank that size, they are many options of fish to have, depends on what your looking for.

she wants too keep the pleco  i carnt complain, i really like him to, can someone list the fish that can go with guppys?

so i can get pictures for ger

she wants them to breed, plus she wants some other fish to mingle in there.

May I suggest, even though some people find them hard to keep / breed, some cardinal tetras as I find them nicer to look at than neons, colorful and also grow relatively big over time. Also are good community fish as far as my experience goes.

Agreed :good:

As long as you can keep up with maintenance they are great little fish

i would definetly trade her plecos for a buttload of fish.trade her a male and a femal BN.those will breed.then just get male guppies because she really wont have ANY room once the guppies are breeding.
