Ok i have been posting about my fish, as many know, a lot, and i went through my tank, wrote down sizes of fish in the top, middle, and bottom of my tank and i have too many :( I need help restocking my tank right now, i am down what i can, but i need suggestions. I dont think right now i can get a larger tank, i wish i could, even been offered big tanks, but i know i cant. So anything anyone can do to help me would be grealy appreciated! This is my current tank set up:

60g - Fully Planted with Real Mopani Driftwood
1 Blue Gourami F (Spot)
1 Gold Gourami F (Bananas)
1 Pearl Gourami F (Loch)
1 Powder Blue Gourami M (Dori)
1 Red Fire Dwarf Gourami M (Nemo)
1 Dwarf Gourami M (Flow)
1 Opaline Gourami F (Surf)
1 Angel M (Spaz)
3 Baby Clown Loaches (Bob, Curly, and Moe)
1 Silver-Tip Catfish F (Bruce)
1 Synodontis Eupterus (Spike)
1 Clown Pleco (Stripes)
1 Rubbernose Pleco (Pucker)
3 Ghost Shrimp (3 Stooges)

I was even going to buy a BGK but i see why i cant now. The silver tip catfish will most likely be finidng a new home because i knwo they need sale in thier water and i cant go marine later on, so he might be leaving me, but i want something that looks like a shark, because thye are awesome. Anything anyone can do to help me with my stocking problem, please do!!!

To all of you who talked to me about my tank before, thank you for the push to do something about it :)

P.S. I also have a ten gallon right now, and i was thinking of moving my female betta in it to my 2.5 with the male (with a divider) so i can move something there if needed, and my parents have a 29 gallon tank with fish all ready in it, but i can see what i can do, just any ideas, this is what i have to work with:

->29 gallon tank (dont worry abotu stocking, i can always take things out, i pretty much maintain thier tank)

->18 gallon ~ I am going to go and buy the 18 gallon at my work and trade it with the 10, that give me a little bit more room to do everything!

->60 gallon

This would be better put in the chit chat section as a mod to move it, good luck.

take out the clown loaches, they should be kept in nothing but atleast three members (which you have) but they will get massive sooner or later, and wont be good for your 60 gall.... with groups of three they better suite a tank over 100 gallons or even 90....

but other then that if you have a mix of top, mid. and bottom feeders you can have more then the rule of 1'' per gallon

put a air pump in there with a airstone and that also increaseas the amount you can have in your tank, its not just the size, its also the amount of air you have.

ok how do i find a mod to help me move this?

also, i have a lot of plants in the tank :) so they produce enough Oxygen for my fish, i cant have an air pump because i have cO2 in the tank, and the more water flow, the faster the c02 dissapates. Ok right now this is my tank, i have moved a lot around:

60g - Fully Planted with Real Mopani Driftwood
1 Dwarf Gourami M (Flow)
1 Gold Gourami F (Bananas)
1 Pearl Gourami F (Loch)
1 Opaline Gourami F (Surf)
2 Baby Clown Loaches (Curly and Moe)
1 Synodontis Eupterus (Spike)
1 Silver-Tip Catfish F (Bruce)
1 Angel M (Spaz)
1 Clown Pleco (Stripes)
1 Rubbernose Pleco (Pucker)
3 Ghost Shrimp (3 Stooges)

The clown loaches i am still deciding on what to do with, i know i have room for them for atleast 2 years, but right now my inch of fish is (i made sure this is correct)

AFTER ABOUT 1.5-2 YEARS:

TOP: 18 inches
MIDDLE: 18 inches
BOTTOM: 13 inches

49 inches total

*if a fish swims in more than one part theni divided the sie into them evenly, and i didnt include my plecos because thye arent really any problem, they only get 4-5 inches both :)

thanks for the help, and if you can get a mod to move this to wherever it needs to go, i didnt know what forum to put it in, so whatever is the best way i can get help!:)

just changed something, i added two fish i took out, that now i see wouldnt be bad in the tank, since they only get to 2 inches, i put back in my red fire dwarf gourami and my powder blue dwarf gourami, so now i have 53 inches of fish in my 60 gallon, any more ideas on what i can do or what i can get that is colorful and pretty ?

i almost moved him to my parents, then i realized i only had 2 clowns and i dont know how happy they would be, since they need to be in 3's. Coul i pull of only 2 or no? I know i have asked this before, but with more room now (YAY im not overstocking!:)) i didnt know if i could make two clowns work, i know they are socila, and they love to socialize as babies with my gouramis, (it is so funny they all swim together, the clowns act like the gouramis are the mommy and daddies :)). Just a question.

but anyways, how does my tank sound right now? :) I dont think i am going to go with a ghost knife, im pretty sad about it, but i dont want my fish to be unhappy, i would rather have a tank with less fish, but healthy and happy fish, than a tank with unhappy cramped fish :) i know i can SAFELY add a couple more fish, but since i rushed into it before at the start of this tank, i am tkaing my time and researching more and seeing what the girlfriend likes too... i let her name the fish, can you tell? lol

tank ATM:

P.S. - I know in about 1-2 years the clowns will be about 5-6 inches, cuz right now they are about less than an inch, so i might have to move them then to a bigger tank when i get one, so for the moment they are here :)

i am sure i have added a little stress, but i have given them the seachem prime for thier coats, and only a few have been moved, plus i gave them zuccini today, i think they are quiet happy now lol, they are all on the two peices, not one fish is swimming around, they are all eating that zuccini (and yes i fed them this morning, they arent starving lol, i just thought i would add a little something for them to munch on for today :)

Ok, I just know every time you put them in a net, it takes away some of that protective slime and they must have time to adjust to the water temperature, if not, they might go into shock. I know clown loaches are very sensitive to being moved around a lot so be careful...

Say goodbye to the clown loaches. There isn't any point in having one lonely loach, and you can't handle three in that tank.

And what exactly is Synodontis Eupterus?

Plus, that one inch per gallon rule really only covers fish two inches and smaller, plus plecos put out a lot of waste for their size...

You would have to search the syno on yahoo, i dont have a pic, but they are bad a** fish! Why should i say good bye to my clowns?

The clowns when i take them out, well the one i took out, i put him in a 10 gallon tank (nothing in it, just a transfer/extra tank) and i had enough seachem prime in it to make him ok, and the temp of that water was exactly the same as both tanks (mine and my dads) theni put him in a baggie ( i scooped him in it, so i never touched him and either did the baggy) and set the baggie in the water to make temps right for 10 minutes, and i put seachem prime in that tank too for him, he is happy and fine and swimming as liveley as ever :)

actually its for fish under 5 inches(might be 6 but not sure)

the syno is a cool looking cat.....looks like a large cory(kinda) and has the coloring of a common plec im not sure but i belive they get some where around 10 inches...again not sure on that...the waste the plec make doesnt matter as long as there is sutable filtration to take care of it

I have the highest penguin filter marineland makes (up to 75 i believe) so waste isnt a problem, synodontists get about 6-7 inches in the wild, and only 5-6 in aquariums, but some stay about 4 inches. I think i am going to move the clowns for while since i know i dont have a lot of room, unless osmeone else has an idea!!! :(

The silver tip shark i know lives in brackish water when adult, but if he stays in freshwater, wouldnt he adjust, since the freshwater to brackish takes about 2 years, he has 2 years to adjust, isnt that ok?

ok...listen up... you are asking for peoples help..but not listening. The clown loaches get too big for your tank, you should give them to someone with a big enough tank, or give them back to where you bought them. moving clown loaches back and forth alot is not good for them (or any fish) but esspeccially the clown loaches because they are really suseptible to ich...and they are more difficult to treat as well. the plecs you have were a good choice though because those varieties dont produce as much waste in my experience compared to the much larger varieties.
