Hi all,

I am currently quite frustrated with my vaillant choc gouramis. After struggling to sex them for ages I eventually found out that I had four females (the colourful ones).

I managed to go back to Pier Aquatics in Wigan and purchase what I thought was a male. Unfortunately, he didn't get over the shock of transport and became very stressed and went off his food and passed away.

I'm now on the lookout for a male vaillant choc gourami in the NW of England.

If anyone has any help; or wants to swap male for female; or can offer any advice please can you contact me.

I'm eager to try and breed these fish as I'm sure it will provide an excellent challenge.

Thanks in advance

Simon

I am now breeding the CPD's... after a small hiccup I am now set up and ready to feed the female up ready for a breeding attempt next week.

I have knwon it best to get a group of 4-5 fish if you want a male and female. That way you have a greater chance of getting what ya want.

I did buy 4 of them .. including 2 which I thought would be males. Unfortunately the fish in the shops colouration hadnt come out fully!
