just got a new tank 15" wide, sides are 7" front to back, and in the middle its 10" front to back, and 12" high, works out at 7 gal apparently, got it set up with my dwarf black bettas in it, which has freed up the 14" by 8" by 8" clearseal tank they were in, for "jarring" more of the fry :yahoo: :good: :yahoo:
honestly, there are 2 fish in there!

the slightly murky looking water is due to boiling an indian almond leaf up to add to the new water, as dwarf blacks are wilds they really need it. it actually doesn't show up nearly so much in person, just a slightly yellow tinge.

the urn thing came with it too.

have done SOOOOO well on prices of fishtanks.

5' by 18" by 24" tank for the oscars was only £70 including stand. (Dorset reclaim)

31" by 12" by 14" divided boys tank was £40

23" by 11" by 12" divided boys tank birthday present

14" by 9" by 14" aqua one tank (guppies) free from freecycle

15" by 7-10" by 12" tank (new one with dwarf blacks in it) free from freecycle

14" by 8" by 8" clearseal tank (divided for 2 fry) was about £10 (i think.... long time ago)

12" by 8" by 8" clearseal tank (divided for 2 fry) free from freecycle

9" diameter by 6" plastic gussie starter kit bowl (fry) about £8 (i think)

7" diameter by 6" "traditional" goldfish bowl (fry) found in a garage

Hi Ryanp15, Freecycle is UK site where you can get anything you need for free. You just need to register and you will get e-mails for staff people don't need and they don't want to sell so you can take it for free. Or you can post what you looking for and people will e-mail you if they have it.Just google freecycle and choose your area. :good: :good:

what's freecycle?
sorry if its really simple, but I havn't heard of it :S
UK or US?

well done anyway on all your prices! :D

Here is the link for your local one http://groups.yahoo.com/group/greatyarmouthfreecycle/ but you may find one thats even more local to your exact area. The concept is that instead of sending things to the tip when we have a clear out advertising them for free for anyone local to collect if they need it also if you need anything ie a fish tank you can put a wanted ad on incase anyone has an unused one in there garage! The whole thing is free and ive given away loads as well as had childrens clothes, fish tanks, cds videos, a printer, computer desk, fire surround etc. Its brill lol! Free stuff and saving the environment!

its not just UK, it started in the US, there are local groups all over the place! its great, have gotten rid of quite a few things that i no longer wanted (due to getting new ones, lack of space etc) and have received some lovely stuff too, as well as getting the tanks i have had a pair of solid oak bedside tables! a dining table and chairs, a garden table/bench, bathroom cabinet & towel rail set, set of surround sound speakers and some home gym equipment!

Edit: oooh i forgot to list 2 of my tanks!

24" by 12" by 14" spawning tank "borrowed" from a friend
