I Lost My Jawfish :(

Hi guys,

I picked up a pearly jawfish yesterday. Problem is I cant find him now..

I did the normal float bag, mix salter bit then released him into the tank. I saw him swim up and down the entire length of the tank and ended up resting in one of the corners. (this is the last I saw of him - as for the next 3/4 hours I was fixated on problem with another new tankmate - this is in a seperate post).

All afternoon I searched for him, I have some rockwork in my tank also (whilst trying to fix the problem with the other tank m8, I did move some rocks about, but I cant recall seeing him). Till this morning I still havent seen any sign of him..

Its only been a day, but should I be worried or is this normal for a new jawfish?

Jawfish love to burrow, so I wouldn't be too worried.

yes, and I still looked around the tanks surrounding floor. Nothing.

Anyone know how long they normally stay hidden for? and btw is this normal behaviour for a newly added jawfish??

nearly a week and still no sign of the little bugger.

I swear.. If I find it now.. I'll kill it.
