Im upgrading to a 36" tank soon, and i was wondering whether any eels could fit in a tank of that size?

for freshwater 1 peacock eel will go easily inside it or marine there arent much that will go at ease in that except maybe a snowflake moray

I need to no a few of the basics.
Will it eat, when mature, some of the fish in my sig? Because when im upgrading to a 36" these fish are also going in with the eel (peacock spiny eel). Does it only take live and frozen foods? If so how often should i feed it and how much?

Thanks in advance.

heh, it will probably eat all those little fish that would fit into his mouth that i saw, like tetras. he will eat live ghost shrimp and you could teach him to eat frozen foods, like blood worms, also shrimp pellets and earthworms. im not sure when to feed it though, i would say everyday for pellets or bloodworms and 2 times a week for ghost shrimp, but i dont know.

hope this helps, A

Thanks for the advice, ive read through the "caresheet" got some useful info on their.

dont forget to not add so many fish as this eel will get very roomy in a 36G.

huh? pecock spiny eels only get about twelve. what are you talkin bout?

My tank which im going to purchase is 36 inch not 36 gallon.

Not sure about all the lengths. Just know its a 36", 30 gallon aquarium. They have lots of different sizes at my pet shop what would be the standard size of a 30g long?

if your gonna get a spiny eel thats probably all you can get, to keep it unstressed or you can get a dragon goby and keep it in there until it gets big then get him a bigger one. (dragon gobies are eel like)
