I just don't get it! Why are my fry dying?

Okay this is really weird. I have *Had* 6 like 2-3 month old guppy fry. Then just a couple days ago the same female had her other batches of fry, and so now there are about 15-18 fry. Then just in the last few days I have had one missing fry, *Never did find him* and then this morning I found another one, dead on the gravel with mold all over him. Both of these babies were the original 6 that were 2-3 months old. Could they be dying because all last week while I was at camp my mom accidentally fed them betta food? Or could it be that they feel over-crowded? I have all 18 fry in a 10 gallon, but most of the fry are still really small...so I don't know what's going on...

What are your water params? How often do you feed them? Anything strange going on with the others?

Anymore info you can give would be very helpful.

try to change the water about twice a week. the fry are a lot more sensitive than the adults just like humans. babies can always catch stuff easier 'cause they are not immune.
