I Have Ordered 2 Gouramis But..

I have put in my order for 2 Dwarf Gouramis.

I am getting a male honey red dwarf gourami and a male blue dwarf gourami.

Is this going to be ok? Are they going to fight. I do not have females and dont plan to have females in the tank, so there will be no competition over girls.

The man at the aquarium said it would be fine, but will it really?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

How big is the tank? Anything above 20 gallons and ehavily planted, they should be ok in. ANything else won't work long-term. One will chase and stress the other.

Well I was informed I had a 20g 2ft tank, but it looks like, through doing some calculations on here with some people its a 15g tank.

What do you think about a 15gl.

If I only got 1 gourami, wouldnt he be very lonely and sad?

You'd be better off with just one.

Dwarf gouramies - especialy males - like being alone. They are territorial and can be very aggressive towards others of their own kind. He'd be happier on his own.
