The other mother gave birth either yesterday or today... the only reason i found them is i did a real good cleaning of the maternity ward/nursery. Took everything out - rinsed the plants (in tank water) and as i was catching the 5 i realized that i was not counting 1 twice as i had thought for the last 5 day...i infact have 6 babies! So i obviously go over every square inch of the tank and there's ANOTHER teenie one, so i net it and keep looking. There ended up being a total of 6 new babies. Each mother had 6. Thank tank is now sparkley and all mothers have been put back into the big tank and just the babies remain in the nursery.
After i put the babies back in the teenie one's disapeared again. and the bigger ones explored every square inch of the tank. They now have black tails and a black top fin. I can't get over how CUTE they are, and boy have they grown in 5 days!
I put the female guppies back into the big tank as well as i caught one of them chasing a baby and i'm getting a big batch of new guppies tomorrow so if i miss this birth - it's really not the end of the world but actually i have my suspicions whether or not they are actually pregnant ...it's just been too long.
Anyway - that's all
