I had female bettas in with my cories, but the girls were just too rough with each other so I've split them up. Anyway... there's still 1 betta in with my cories and last night when I walked by the tank I noticed the betta eating eggs off of the side of the tank  Anyway I isolated her in a basket and was able to save about 8 eggs in a net breeder. I hope they're ok. They look to be an ivory color with a lighter white color inside. Is this normal?
The only fry that I've dealt with before have been danios. Well and mollies but I think it takes more effort to not have baby mollies than to have them.

I really hope that I get babies because I absolutely love my cories. They're really a breath of fresh air after trying to deal with all the aggression among my bettas. The cories are just the sweetest little things that just don't have any sort of aggression toward anything. I love when one will just plop down on the head of another one and they don't even seem to care

Be careful about the eggs in case they get fungus on them, and then you could lose all your eggs. But u do have them in a net in the tank which helps in fighting the fungus. What type of corys do u have?

Do you have hard water? If you do add a little Maroxy. It will help stave off fungus. I have heard that hard water increases the chance of fungus. Maroxy is a Mardel Product and is in the States. I don't know the equivilent in the UK. Mardel doesn't harm the nitrifying bacteria. I saw that Spooky or someone uses something else in the UK.

Congrats on the eggs and good luck!

They're just plain bronze cories. I do have very hard water and I've got some maroxy so I will add that. Thanks for the advice! What does fungus look like on the eggs? Does it have a color or is it just fuzziness? One of the eggs has some greenish stuff on the outside that I just thought was algae from the plant that I took it off of. I hope it's not fungus

Thanks again!

Bronze cory's are great to breed. I have about 50 at the moment that i am growing on till they are big enough to sell.

Generally the biggest challenge is stopping them from getting fungus as has already been mentioned. Make sure the eggs are well airated, put an airstone in the breeder with them or even just the end of an airline. This will keep a good flow of water over them and stop them from going stagnent. Check the eggs every day too and if necessary pick off any eggs that have gone light, or haven't gone dark with tweezers.
