It started out with Max, the funny double tail (thanks to those who voted for him in the betta comp btw! )...

Then me and the bf came across a feisty crowntail, who is supposed to be at my bf's, but I still have him and don't think I'm gonna give him up anytime soon.... Here is Mr. Grumpy, waiting for his final 2 gal home:

Then I found out about the nice breeder close to home, and now I've ordered these 4...

opaque female

black mask boy

black mask girl

and lastly a plakat female of breeder's choosing!

The girls are going into a 10 gal with a couple otos, hope everything goes alright.

I'm wondering if the black mask girl and boy might be worth breeding??


anyways, that's 5 bettas in about a weeks time - is MBS terminal? LOL

Oh if anyone was wondering about Max not eating, for some reason after feeding dethawed blood worms for a few days, he now downs his hikari baby pellets like potato chips. So now Max and grumpy get a mix of bloodworms and pellets daily.

Had a question about the tank for the girls - are they as sensitive to filters as the males are?? Or will current be ok for them?

I shouldn't be a problem, I kept my girls with a filter.

After all i only have 7.....

Can't stop. Everytime i go to the lfs i say to myself 'just don't look, you have no room, if you don't look you won't want' but then they catch my eye from a distance and they're saying, 'please don't leave me here in this tank of tetras the guy only feeds me flake, how i long for a juicy bloodworm'

13 so far...waiting for 6 girls from Synirr. We love our lil' fishies!

I only have 3 at the moment, but getting two from Synirr. Combined all together, the number of bettas i've ever owned is 8 (including the ones that died and that synirr is going to give me)

any comments on breeding the 2 masks?? What would be the end result?

and what would breeding an opaque female with colored males result in?

I think the masks would make a pretty pair...not sure what youd get...then again no one ever really knows for sure what your going to get but thats half the fun
