I Have A Problem

I used to treat finrot and ich with non iodized salt, I tried a heap of meds and they seemed to work for awahile then when I stopped using the meds the ich would come back,
You will have to take all your plants and inverts out of the tanks and keep them somewhere else, You have to gradually acclimate the fish in your tank to the salt water and when the ich or finrot is gone you have to gradually acclimate them back to fresh water, acclimation would take me like 2 days in a 55 gallon tank,
This might not be method you want to use but Its just an idea, and it has worked for me in the past and if I run across it again I``ll do it to mine...
Maybe take the one sick Betta out and isolate her and try it with just the one before ya do your whole tank.
hope this helps

thanks =]

Ive been using salt since i started this, the meth blue and the salt combined must be keeping it at bay, they are in a bag with the meth blue for dipping right now, then i transfer them back into the 10g [with nothing in]

poor things =[

will her tail grow back if she survives this? its down to the base right now, there isnt a bit left =[

Usually mine would grow their tails/fins back and it will take awhile, I would leave mine in the saltwater for a few days then acclimate them back I didnt dip them per say and if the ich or whatever is still in the tank it will stay there until you treat the whole tank, I have read somewhere about some people taking everything out of their tank and letting it go thru an "ich cycle" which basically they waited out the disease and after a period of time I reckon the spore or whatever it is they grow from would hatch and then grow and die off natrally, I think it took over a month to go thru the growth cycle of the fungus, to me thats a long time to be having my fish in 5 gallon buckets everywhere lol
so basically whaT Im thinking is your gonna have to treat the tank itself as the fungus is probably in and on everything int the tank.
make sure you dont leave your fresh fish in the saltwater for more than a couple days as they will acclimate to the salt but they cant survive in it for extended periods of time.

Just the myxazin by waterlife.

ive got some myaxzin and have dosed the tank

I lost one of the females =[ but the other 2 are still going

this is honey today:
does she still have a chance?

Bless her.
Is she struggling to maintain balance.

actually no, shes surprisingly fine, shes eating and able to swim, pretty fast aswell!

That's sound more promising then. As once they struggle to keep balance they rarely make it.

It depends on how far the bacteria infection has progressed.
Keep a look out for red patches and red streaking as there signs of septicemia.

one of my blue female bettas in quarantine died =[ she was tying so hard :(

Honey is still going strong though, I hope shes going to pull through, just so all her hard work isn't in vain

can you add anything else in with the myxazin? just to help...

well ive moved her into her own 3g so im doing 70% every 2 days ish, with tomorrow being the day i change it

i was worried that the disease may still be in the 10g so thats why i moved her

How long have you been using the myxazin now?
