I Have A Betta & A Neon Tetra

Hey everybody! I'm really new to this whole aquarium thing and was just wondering on some tips for my new Betta and Neon Tetra...I know that whole cycling thing and what your supposed to do but does anyone know how to lower the PH level of the water! my readings say that the PH of tap water is the same as my aqarium water...Please help!
