Was looking at my tank to see how much my mom bloody fed them. All I have is 6 and she feed enough food for like 40. Bless her. I havent feed them for awhile and they are starting to search around for food again. Anyways while i was looking I saw a baby platty. Abou the size of a medium pin head. He has a lovely red body and black tail. And he starting to go to the surface to breath now... Also hes full of character but risking it abit swimming in front of the adult plattys and the humnug catfish I have. Well he is the only one I have left or so I think, as cannot see any more of them. He was like the mother, But sadly she was from my first bunch and there were unhealthy from the shop and then died, so hoping it will grow up to be like her :)

I will try and get some pics when possible, and when i learn to use new phone haha

Poor platy's mom. Poor store conditions claim another.
Cute! Pics please!

If that fry survives, you will get more CT. When fish see other fish of all different sizes, they often become accustomed to seeing smaller fish and stop chasing them. In the long run, a tank full of livebearers with a diverse group of sizes is a fairly safe place for a newborn fry compared to a lightly populated all adult tank.

He has gone missing at the moment, but when spot him again will try and get piccy...

Well Im getting my catfish and sucker fish out there and just have corys as bottom feeders. When its complete done i will only have plattys and guppys in there so all the best to the new fry thats coming.

I have put him in the breeding box so i can get better pic of him, just waiting for it to upload

While you are removing predators, CT, the cories are never a problem with livebearer fry IME.

I put him in there because of the parents. when i last breed guppys I nver had luck because the mother would eat them. So thats why Im taking this as helping them out etc. I know the corys isnt the problem and they are great little guys. They all have settled in fine lol
