I have a 10g tank with 3 x-ray tetras and 3 emerald cories and 1 of the emerald cories and one of the x-ray tetras is in the back of the tank shaking back and forth. Is this the shimmies and what medicine should I use?
If they are shaking could be a parasite, added any new fish lately, look at the gills and the body, any laboured breathing, look for spots thats look like grains of salt.
The x-ray is fine now but this emerald cory is in the back of the tank and won't come to the middle of the tank to eat. The other two are in the middle eating but he won't come out. Should I put him in a holding container and feed him if this continues to go on or what should I do?
Are barbles emerald cories? P.H. 7.6 or 7.8 nitrite .0 nitrate .0 ammonia .0 He just stays in the back and hovers next to this plant he doesn't sit on the bottom like the others he just hovers and is so small and skinny he looks kind pathetic.
Does his belly look sunken in, what does it look like when he goes to the toilet, is his anus red and inflamed, bottom feeders are prone to bacteria problems if you don't maintain the gravel, i do mine twice a week to prevent this.
No its not. And no it doesn't look sunken in. Now I just looked at him and he sits their and looks at the other to corys eating then goes back to the back and sits on the gravel. Should I put him in a holding tank and feed him or what?
All I have is a one gallon tank with an air pump. But I don't think that would work since it has no heater. Oh and I also have a 2.5 tank but it has a betta in it and I don't want to take the chance of getting him sick or the betta killing the cory.
Being skinny can mean a bacterial infection, internal parasites, and there is wasting away desease called fish tb, that why i wanted to no what it looked like when he goes to the toilet.
