Question 1 : Is the stabiliser used with the sugar, yeast mix- sodium bicarbonate.

Question 2 : If so what does it stabilise :S and why is it needed.

Question 3: Does anybody know. Where to get just the nutrafin diffuser from online in the uk.

hi,

if you're mixing your own you only need sugar yeast and bi-carb - no need for the stabalizer, i've had much more success mixing my own rather than using the sachets that come with it,

i think stabalizer is just a term for yeast or bi-carb in the kit,

you can get them from here: http://www.aquatics-online.co.uk/listsecti...retp=322&rets=X

if you need any help just ask, ive messed with mine for ages!

That one I need clarification on is the term/word "bi-carb" mean sodium bicarbonate or is it a different chemical, because if it is sodium bicarbonate we have about 10 tons at work :D

Thanks sime,
but I have just done a CAS search and they are the same chemical =CAS # [144-55-8]. They are one in the same :D
