I Got Pygmies And Betta

today I put little pheonix in the 10G I got and also today, I went to LFS and bought 6 Pygmy cories. here are the pics I promised.

I caught a really nice pic of one of them. the other pygmy was hiding from me.

now my problem now is I gotta find 6 different names for my cories. any Ideas?

Nice betta and pygmys are cute. Don't have any ideas for names I'm afraid. I haven't named my corys because I can't tell them apart!

Agreed! Add a few real plants, and they should start growing pretty soon.

I was actually planning on getting a few real plants. I was thinking around the line of crypts.

No, don't get a few, get a LOT.

Seriously you need to fill that tank with plants be it real or silk. Bettas come from heavily vegetated waters and he'll feel a lot happier and safer in a thickly planted tank. They love tall plants too, Cabomba, Elodia, Tropical hornwort, Aponogentions, Hairgrass, vallis ect. He can patrol these tall plants and also rest on them too.

IMO, avoid hornwort. I don't know if I've had a weird strain but those leaves are sharp. Every time I have used it, it has cut my boys' fins up something awful.

Honeythorn is right though - bettas LOVE planted tanks and want to be able to explore and hide.

I've got tropical hornwort, it's definitely not sharp. The coldwater one ( unless they are the same I'm not entirely sure ) does seem to have tougher leaves though again I wouldn't say sharp, my aunts pond is infested with it.
