I got new mollies!

Awww how lovely. Any pics? I've got a bit of a thing for silver mollies, but I've yet to actually get any. I can feel third tank syndrome hitting already. :*)
Hugs,
P.

congrats on teh mollies, get a 24 karat balloon molly to ballance everything out

Yay for new Mollies! Congrats! :D

However, I am worried about your 10 gallon. It seems a little overstocked...and also, Danios shouldn't be in anything less then a 20 gallon, as they are very active fish and need groups (6 or more ). I think you could probably keep the Mollies and Guppies in there, but the Tetras and Danios really need a bigger house. Sorry. :/

They're teeny little cardinal tetras.
Yeah... as soon as the mollies were released the larger of the two danios went beserk. Now he's kinda always been a jerk, especially lately, so I took my slightly torn up guppy out of the breeding trap and put the bugger in there. (Guess who tore 'im up.) I'm planning on flushing the danio tomorrow.

One of the mollies is pregnant, due in perhaps 5 days. So I'm gonna need that breeding trap.

The other molly, the not-pregnant black one, is being extremely timid and hiding at the bottom. But the white one is active at the top. :( Could she be unhealthy? I sure hope not- because she is such a cutie. Maybe she'll come out more in the morning, and when there isn't a big danio to harass her. -_-

Don't flush the danio! That is very irresponsable behavior, to be a good fish keeper you have to take proper responsability over your fish and part of that means not flushing them down the toilet when you mix the wrong size groups together in too smaller tank and get issues.
Danios are very hyperactive fish that can get very nippy when in too smaller tank or group- you have both im sorry to say. Danios need to be in groups of at least 5 and need a tank of at least 20gallons, so this explains why your danios aern't behaving well in the 10gal.
I personally suggest you either upgrade your tank and get a 25gallon tank and 2-3more danios or go to your lfs(local fish store) and give them the danios for free, at least that way they won't have to die.

Mollys can have up to 100fry, and these can take up to a year to fully mature and thus you are going to need at least a 10gallon tank if you have 15-20 or more fry, so you must decide now on wether you can handle the fry.

I told my dad I wanted to give them away. He said it's not worth the trouble.

This is too depressing. I wish I never joined.

Trust me its worth the trouble rehoming the little fish, if you need him to drive you there just tell him you need to go there for somthing else :) ,we all have to start somwhere and it can be disheartening when we first start out, but don't give up  !

You don't know my dad. He wouldn't take a lie like that, plus I'd have to bring the infected fish with me or something.

Plan: Call fish store. Get confirmation fish have parasites. Kill fish in order for other tankmates to prosper, have new beginning.

Good news- the guppies may not have parasites. They may be just stressed. And the solution is rehoming the danios. I think I can convince my dad to let me do that.

And for the situation I am in, if they had had parasites, that was the bet plan out there.
