tank:20g
Plants:amazon sword, anachris, hornwort, bananaplant, unknown flatleafed plant and another unkown multi leafed plant.
fish:All sailfines that I am aware of.
rocks:all holy rocks

one of my mollies is being picked on. Her name is faye and she is much smaller than any other of my mollies. Millie omg she has problems!!!Millie attacks anyone who gets any where near her. Even the males won't mess with her. Millie's main target of harrassment is faye. Millie chases faye all around the tank. And at feeding time faye can't eat anything because guess what Millie bites her when she tries to eat!Faye just hovers in one spot doing nothing! What do I do???????

I agree, watch them.

As for raising Mollies sucessfully, are you talking about fry, or adults?

Okay, for adults:They are Omnivorous, so flake, frozen and live foods, are good. They also like green veggies. Water changes just as you normally would...

As for fry, once they are born, you might want to put them in a seperate tank or a breeder net, so they do not get eaten. Feed them Liquifry, or Hikari First Bites for the first few weeks. Then you can move on to finely crushed flakes, or very finely crushed other foods....mine love freeze-dried bloodworms. If you have them in a seperate tank, you can use a turkey baster to siphon off some water without getting any fry. If you keep them in a breeding net, you can take some water from the tank in a container, net the babies, and put them in there while you do the water change. Then you can take out the breeding net and clean it. Usually the net gest dirty after a while. Once th fry are big enough, you can put them back with the other Mollies. The general rule of thumb is, you can put them back once they are big enough to not fit in any other fishes' mouth.

I have freeze dried bloodworms and my mollies won't touch them!!!!And also I feed them this herbavor top fine crap and also top fin color inhanser. They won't touch the top fin stuff that is suppose to be made for mollies!!! 12.00$ for stupid food that the fish don't even like!!!There main diet is flake food which they like. What do you recomend for more variety in their diet???? Also I have hornwort and alot of fluffy plants in the aquiarium couldn't the fry just hide in the plants? or the rocks or even the bottom of the tank!I have a lot of marbles at the bottom of the tank that they could hide around.

Hmmm, that's strange.

If the only food they like is flakes, I'd just stick to that. You could try frozen Bloodworms or Brine Shrimp though.

You can leave fry in the tank too. The survival rate may be a lot lower though. As long as you have plants though, most likely a few will survive. :)

Do you think it would be better to have more than one food choice?????

claire

what brand of molly food do you recomend??Earthworms would that be good as a snack???

claire

I hope that Ali and Keo don't start fighting!!I meen can't they all... just get along?

claire

They should get along...give them time.

As for what food I reccomend...I like Bloodworms, brine shrimp, Daphnia and flakes. Never used Earthworms, so I couldn't tell you about them.

I read in this book that they LOVE earthworms! And the book said to cut the worms up into bite sized snacks. I think it would be very easy.
