I posted this in the emergency but there was no one in there so i had to post it here aswell....

I had recently jus put my betta into a new jar and i was going round the house doing some stuff and i realised that i didnt dechlorinate the water before i put him in... So i quickly raced over to him and put some in do you think he will be ok?

Hard to say, really.Hopefully if he wasn't exposed too long he will be ok.I'd be keeping a close eye on him and maybe add a bit of something to help restore the slime coat. For my fish I mix water ahead of time in a large container so that I always have treated water on hand.Otherwise I'd likely make the same kind of mistake.Best of luck with your fish :)

Thanx koda... When i used the dechlorinator its got a stress coat in it so hopefully that will calm him down... I put a mirror in front of him and he flared instantly so hes still as aggressive as he used to be haha so hopefully hes ok...

Is there anything i should look for if its affected him??
