I got baby Betta!!!!!!!!

I been trying for 6 months!, theyre veiltail. hatched tonight!!

not sure how many but there seems to be a few

sorry for completely un-informational post, but i just had to tell someone!!!!

My hubby is like "wow fish" lol, no enthusiasm at all!

I got a couple of questions now...

My male is running around popping fry into the nest (they still swimming tail up), but he has hardly any nest left, im frightened in case he eats them. I was actually going to move him out, as i thought he had eaten the eggs.

can i move him safely now, or will the fry die without him?

also i have a few fry lying on the bottom that he has missed, will they die, or will they be ok on the bottom?

I heard someone say on here that they had fry that were at the stage of bobbing down from the nest and going back up. They removed the mail and put the water level down to 1-2 inches.

I wouldn't do this until you get someone else's opinion though.

It seems like he's doing his job and unless he starts to ignore the nest that's left or starts eating them, I would leave him in for another day or 2. My last spawn didn't have much of a nest and now we have about 50+ that are 8 day old.

If you do need to take him out then as was said before lower the water level for them and they should be fine.
