I Forgot – Breeding Question

So it’s been a while since I’ve had fry and this is my first time using sponge filters in with the babies. SO. My question that I’ve forgotten the answer to is; when should I turn on the sponge filters? At what age should the fry be?

I turned mine on when they were about 1 week old - shortly after removing the male, and after I had nearly filled the 10g tank (adding 1g per day). ;0) I use small world filters, they're super duper easy.

Mine are on from the start, I guess you'll have lots of different replies to this one as breeders have their own ways of doing things

Being that I use a good sized tank and a filter with little output I leave mine on from the start of spawning. The amount of plants and where the boys like to nest means they feel nothing from it. As the last spawn failed (poor Mystery stressed out when I had to leave the day after the successful mating) I have yet to see how the fry take to it but will let you know when I do.
