I went into Petco today for fish food and stuff for my puppy, and I came out with a gorgeous new Super Delta boy! I've named him Sushi <3

from the angle and due to his flaring you are looking into his gill...that is the redness you see..looks perfectly normal.

I was just curious cos i had a betta and he never flared so wasn't sure. Guess he was just too lazy/laid back to go to the effort lol

Still he is gorgeous and will get better soon enough

Just looked like there was a slight spiky look to the edge of the tail so thought perhaps it had a tiny bit of crowntail
 
Whoa... That looks a lot like my betta! But mine doesnt have the blue ventral fins He looks great! :good:

Sorry, just couldn't help but notice how similar they look.

No, its defos not a crowntail- that just looks like fin damage from the LFS :/

Yep, and with frequent water changes he should heal up just fine.

Is that a 2-gallon? Looks slightly smaller than my 3-gallon. . .Be sure to do a water change every 3 days. . .
