I havent had very much luck with this plant that I also got from petco. It has basically died! It was a duo potted plant with a type of small fern also. Could u also try to i.d that too? I dont know why it is dieing.

I think it's called cacomba, not sure if I got the spelling right. I have some in my tank and its grown really well. The fish love it too!

I'm not sure what it is, but if it's what stang1 said, then it's spelled cabomba

Mine has grown very well. My fish absolutly love it! I will look it up to see if that is it.

Yes I believe it is cabomba. Thanks!!!

Any one know the i.d of the other plant???

The one that appears to be dead? No idea...because it looks dead lol :) . But you should take it out of its pot and remove its roots from whatever its in (mineral wool? Does petco think its tropica? -_- ) :good: .

What about the fern behind it? I will take ur advice and take the plant out of the pot. Maybe that will help it a little.

I just un potted it. Maybe it will do better now. Can u guys possibly id the fern type plant?

i don't know the name of the plant but it is more commonly seen in cold water tanks and ponds that is why it growing so well because the warmer water is speeding up the growth.

but the smaller fern is more adapted to warmer water which it isn't growing as fast if you un pot the other one it might grow faster but not as fast as the unknown plant.

I have found out what the plant that is growing well is. It is Cabomba caroliniana. I will get better pics of the fern type one.

I cant remember the name, but it looks like a kind of non-aquatic fern i used to have in my tank ages ago, naturally it was bought from pertsmart when that place stil existed here. It went brown and dead like yours too :good: .
