I.d This Plant Please

The pics are quite bad. The plant is actually maroon. It has always been that color. It is still alive, and didnt start dieing like the other plant.

i don't know the name of the plant but it is more commonly seen in cold water tanks and ponds that is why it growing so well because the warmer water is speeding up the growth.

but the smaller fern is more adapted to warmer water which it isn't growing as fast if you un pot the other one it might grow faster but not as fast as the unknown plant.

So if it is also cold water, I could put it in my little 2 gallon tank without a heater?

Great news! Since I unpotted the potted plant, it has started to grow back! It has started to get new leaves and everything!
