well, I was really there just for some rocks I ordered , and some other nic nacks... but Im a sucker for a sale..

so I added 4 red zebras and 4 albino red zebras to the tank tonight.

also added 2 plecos.. (at least save me some scrubbing... )

Great fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1and it is always( well, in most cases) to DIY your tank, and it will be cheaper.
 
Sorry but that tank is a mess do you have it right infront of a window as your algea is so bad.

It is getting sunlight for about the next month for a bit each day.. I have this problem every spring and fall when the sun is just right in the sky..

Also I had an algea bloom due to the major cleaning I gave the tank when I started switching it over to african cichlids.

I know I know... Im going to be scrubbing the walls this evening.. it is embarrassing. Fortunetly, Algea on the glass while unsightly is not in the least bit harmfull for the fish.. I work 60+ hours a week, and I just cleaned 1/2 the tank last week.. (8' long, it takes a while.) But not that half.
 
Totally OT, but that's a cool lookin turtle setup you got there! You should post some pics and what not in the invertibrate forum!
