Hi all,

I wonder if you could help. I have recently lost two guppies the same way. They go very lathargic and have long clear faecies trails. Quite often they just sat at the surface and did nothing. They stopped eating also. This was bad enough but I now notice a third guppy going the same way. I have looked through forums and searched through a number of diagnosis help sites but I can't find anything that mentions faecies trails. I wondered whether it might be some form of internal parasite? If anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful to hear from you. I am beginning to worry that all my fish might eventually go the same way...

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
What do you feed the fish.

Do any of the guppys look thin or bloated.
Are they producing like stringy white poo, or clear mucas poo.
Any worms prutruding from the anus.
Do any of the guppys have sunken in belly.
Do any of the guppys swim on there sides.
Lost any fish to bent spines.
Is the anus enlarged or red and inflamed.

Long clear waste can be internal parasites, to bacterial infection, the fish isn't eating.
