I Can't Find A 5.5 Gallon Tank Anywhere

Yeesh. I have a 5.5 gallon setup that cost me over 60 dollars - tank, filter, heater, gravel, plants, decorations, and a really nice wrought iron stand. It looks wonderful....but it tears me up thinking I could have done it for so much less! Well, at least Leo is happy....

I can find 5.5's okay, my problem is finding a LID for it... I've found lids for 10 gallon tanks, and lids for 2.5 gallons, but i can't for the life of me find a good lid. The other thing i think is funny is at my local petsmart, the 2.5 gallon costs 10$, and the 10 gallon costs 10$ . Hmm, which one would I want. P

You want to hear something funny? They don't sell the 5.5 gallon tanks but they sell screen lids for them (not really for aquarium use, but for terrarium). Isn't that crazy? I don't know if you've checked that aisle or not but in mine they're there for $7.50 at the closest location to me.

Uggg do all you people live in america cause i live in canada and we dont have pet smarts or pet co's we have pet cetera's and big al's at a pet cetera my cousin got a 5.5 gallon glass tank for 7.50 it also came with a lid but i guess in canada things are cheaper.
I hope you find that tank for a reasonable price.

forgot one thing to say you can also look at garage sales or a scond hand store for very cheap tanks it works my dad found a 35 gallon tank on a real oak stand that came with its heater and filter for 45 dollars at a garage sale.
So try some garge sales
