I Can't Figure Out How To Get My Posts To Look Right

What is that little box on most of the posts? The one just before the topic title. Am I supposed to do something different? Also I can't get the smilies to work. How do I get those? Also on the emergencies part it says to cut and paste the form. I don't know how. My computer skills are very limited. I can cut and paste when I can see both where it is and where it is going, but I don't know how to get it from the pinned thing to where I am posting. Also I can't get this thing to let me skip to another line. I can't make paragraphs! It keeps throwing me back to the same line when I try to go down.

ok i think you are clicking the Fast reply button if you, click the Add reply button you should see the smilies beside the text box.

as for cut and past. click and hold the left mouse button, whilst the "I bar is at the beginning of the text you want to cut, now drag the mouse over the text, you will see it is highlighted in blue. now with the text still blue right click the mouse, you should see a sub menu come up, it wiil have cut, paste, select and so on in it. now choose cut and the text, that is in blue, will vanish. to patse you do the reverse, simply click the mouse where you want the text to be, right click and choose paste. bingo your there.

right if you wish to cut text from one thread to one in a different section. highlight the text you want, right click and choose copy. now just navigate your way to where you want to paste it. then right click and choose paste.

if you wish to put some thing on the line below where the text is, put the I bar at the end of the text and press enter, the i bar will drop to the next line.
