My "3 Spot" is not himself. He spends most of his time sat on the bottom of the tank & when he does come up - its a struggle. Seems to be putting a lot of effort just to "tread water". I have read a book that I have & the nearest description of his problem is Swim Bladder Disease - but hes not swimming on his side or upside down. Has any of you experts out there any thoughts what it could be, I am begining to think it may be "terminal".

I've got a 3ft tank - with 2 pearl gourami's, 6 lemon phantom tetras & 5 neons. I dont think its stress, as he was the one that tended to pick on the other gourami's - he's quitened down a lot. The only recent change, was the introduction of a new filter/pump which I have had now for quite a few months (at least 3 or 4). So I dont think its that. Water quality was also mentioned, but I do tend to change the water regulary (maybe not weekly to the day), but none of the others seem to be effected. It may be old age!! I have had him a year & a half(ish) & my farther had him & the tank for a good while before that - not sure how long 3 spots tend to live for.

Anyway, am rambling, see you later. Thanks for your help, hopefully.

Oh, I fotgot - I've also got 2 Bristle Nose Cat Fish (my fave).

Wayne.
