I am very happy with how things are going.
Not sure what's next... Thinking about a couple sps tomorrow to fill in the top right cornor... MAybe a couple Captive Bred Mandarins... Still undecided about them. They're gosh darn adorable.

I'm using,
1 6500k
1 10000k
2 Blue plus from ATI (I don't know what K these are)

The blue plus really make the difference... I got my work to switch to them on the coral tanks instead o actinic and it made an instant difference in coral color. They also give almost 3x more PAR than actinics

EDIT: ATI Blue Plus - 20000K - 450n

Your tank makes me frown at mine . However, mine is only two months old. I just do not have a clue how to get the colors that you have produced in your tank.

Cheers, I was thinking of changing my bulbs so that helped, is the 2 Blue plus from ATI actually a blue bulb though. I thought it was a white one.

What do you mean?
The bulb physically looks white when it is off, but when you turn it on, it gives a very bright blue color.



Water states last night:
pH: 8.2
dKH: 8
Density: 1.025
NitRATes: 0ppm
Phosphates: 0ppm
Calcium: 440ppm
Magnesium: 1260ppm


Picking up a couple SPS corals in a bit... will post pictures later.

Okay cool, thats what I meant, it is classed as a hwite bulb but gives off a very blue look. It loks great.

What sps are you getting? Looking forward to pics.

Two new additions...
Not positive on the names as they didn't come labeled, but i'm 80% sure. Both aquacultured by ORA.

They are in an odd spot to photograph so the pictures don't really do them justice... I'll try my other camera later on and see if I get better results.

BEAUTIFUL purple/blue tips on him

"German Blue Digitata", Montipora Digitata
More purple than blue I think...
I stand Corrected. Purple Stylophora. Explains the purple now.

Very nice, the first two are definetely acros. Im not too sure about the last one. They both look good how tall are they?

I would have to agree with Ben it does look like a stylophora but none the less all look stunning

Hmmm I was debating between the two on the ID. What's the difference between digitata and stylo? They look almost identical to me in pictures.

Ooooh now you are asking Stylo grows more rounder on its branches I had the green version Until something knocked it into a frogspawn below
