Hypsophrys Nicaraguensis

hi,i got 2 of these for one of my tanks today.they are only approx 2 inchs at the moment,but their colours are already looking stunning.for those who dont know,heres a pic of a nic.

I was tempted by these the other day, just not sure I could fit a 10" cichlid in my 90g with everything else.

they are a slow growing fish though and doubt they would ever reach that size.i know someone who owns some and his are approx 6 inches and hes had those for 2 years.dont believe every thing you read about a fishes eventual size.i've had congos and sold them to trimar and some of the staff siad they've never seen such large congos.trimar have a 5ft tank with sevs,red terrors,fire eel etc etc in.these are all fully grown and the severums are no where near the max size that usually gets stated.

Yeah, I know but max. size is that, what the fish can reach most don't get that size but they can. Cichlids in my experience don't grow to full max. stated sizes.

I may get some, as I've said to you, I'm torn between 2 lima shovel nose, a flagtail and nics + a few other things.
