Hygger hg 957 light

Hi all. I have a Hygger hg 957 programmable light, which apparently will not program in DIY mode. I have followed the instructions time and again, and nothing happens (by the way, the instructions are pretty terrible in and of themselves). Maybe I am doing something wrong, but my online search has yielded nothing helpful. Does anyone have any advice or tips?

i have a pair and they are a little tricky to program but i did manage to do it - something like hold both buttons on the outside to put it in program mode and then advance through each step with the arrow. I don't have the instructions in front of me but yea mine work. If there is anything on your finger when you push the buttons it will confuse it also remember it will cycle through each time before getting to the next step in the program - the steps are labelled L1 to L7.
