I have had a Fluval Flex 15 gallon tank set up for quite sometime now and it came with a lid and small LED light attached to the underside. A few of the lights on that strip stopped working.

I picked up a Hygger 957 LED LIGHT as I also wanted a light that I could adjust as my tank is planted.

I had to remove the fish tank lid for this light to technically mount and work the way it was designed. It has been this way for a couple months. Everything has been fine except the evaporation rate is quite high (I knew this would happen)

I would like to know if there is a way to incorporate a lid on a tank and an “aftermarket” light. The way it sits is the light won’t fit under the lid with lid on. Do I need a custom lid? Or does anyone have any ideas that they can throw my way?

Thanks

No, unless they are oversize and then likely the canopy desn't fit. Amazon does sell the clips to use a lid on a rimless -I just noticed them today
