Hi' Guy's

Anyone got a minimum tank size for these? struggling to find their max size in captivty, some places say theyre small over say theyre bigger than vittatus.

These are beautiful, but think they get huge...they say they get to 86cm

Allthough I do not know on what grounds, but they are related to the South African Tiger fish (I would place them into a basslike category - due to the plump rather than streamlined body shape, but the clever people decide on these things)

Personally... due to their size and personality, I cannot imagine that anybody would wish to keep them in an aquarium.

Agreed but given a large tank etc then they are stunning.,..but as said most cannot accomadate...
I know danny hawkins is selling one at present..

Also this lad has one in his 235g

Thanks for the reply's :)
Alot of African Tiger Fish are quite good tank mates with larger fish not considered food or look remotly similar to themselves. I was thinking of moving the oscar and dat to my other tank and put one of them in with the stingray in the 280g

There's alot of info about the Goliath African Tiger fish which does grow huge but some fo the other species max out a lot smaller just cannot find much information on them. I was thinking of one of these or the armatus (spelling? Vampire tetra)
