I am intrested in seeing a hybrid livebearer. Does anyone have a pic of anykind?

There are lots of hybrid livebearers, many that people don't even know are hybrids. However, here are a few kinds:

Xiphophorus variatus hybrid (Variatus Platy), which is a cross between a swordtail and a platy:

Xiphophorus hybrid (Swordtail), a wag swordtail - also a cross between a platy and sword tail:

To tell you the truth, most livebears today, especially swordtails and platies, are hybrids. Mollies also, with guppies being a bit less commonly hybrid between species.

I have 4 hybrid guppy/endler livebearers. Two are females and two are male. Needless to say the males are very beautiful compared to their sisters. The girls look like the Mommy guppy -who died :-( The father was obviously an endler.

Though I think these females have been pregnant, I don't know whose offspring is whose in a tank full of other guppies and loads of fry. I would like to think they could reproduce but word has it they are supposed to sterile...

The pic of the male didn't turn out very well. Like all endlers, they are very flighty and it is difficult to snap a photo.

I know a lot of you don't believe in crossbreeding, well at the time I got two male endlers I didn't realize they would mate with my guppies. But I'm glad they did since endlers don't live very long and now I have their kids to remember them by.

here are pics:

i had some hybrid guppies but that damm*beeeeeeeeeeeep*snail killed um

Will the varitus platies breed with the regular ones? I have a male and a female varitus and a regular female...just curious. Oh and also the feeder guppies at Walmart look an awful lot like endlers to me. Can someone show a pic of an endler and a so-called feeder side by side?

Balloon mollies are hybrids, well, mostly inbred but they also have lyretail varieties and some sailfin.

My "feeder" (only one survived) looks like the very bottom pic. - orange and green with black spots.

Feeder guppies are the wild variety of guppies. They sometimes look similar to endlers but are not the same. Endlers come from isolated pools that may or may not exist anymore in the wild. Some think that they could be extinct in the wild. Feeder guppies are colorful but not quite the same metallic colors as endlers.
