Can any one advize my to the best way to food hungry plants, without brinnging on the dreadded algae.

I've recently started a diy yeast and suger co2 generator, which is fead into a diy forced reactor, made out of a gravel cleaner and pump.
I've also added a tsp of iron sulphate and tsp of potasium sulphate desolved in a liter of tank water, every week.

Is this wise, to much or to little? intrested to here any views

These are pics of the tank taken 30th march 2005 6 days after the mods.

Are your plants showing any signs of deficiencies, are the leaves deformed or yellowing, if not I would carry on with what you are doing. I use a good quality plant food, adding each time I do a water change. Watch your plants, they will show you when anything is going wrong.

I think you are located in the UK going by your user local time, if so then I use JBL Ferropol, obtainable from www.aquariumsuperstore.co.uk It does not contain any Phosphates or Nitrates.
