hummingbird mating dance!

These are not the best pics,I was in the pool again when they came around...but I actually got to watch several hummingbirds doing a mating ritual! It was so amazing!!!!!!!

these are pics near the cherry tree,look at the size of the bird compared to the leaves! They were approx 50 ft away from me for these pics!

cool pics...did you happen to hear them kind of chirping/clicking? when i lived at home and i was swimming i would always catch one hummingbird swooping back and forth in a u shape and making a chirping sound at another hummingbird..didn't know if it was a mating ritual or a territory thing, but it was cute to watch...it would literally go 20 feet straight up in the air and dive bomb the other one - this would go on for at least 10 minutes each time

yes i heard them chirp now and again...i knew this was a mating dance as it was male and female.
funny thing,if i'm just sitting on the swing or chairs,they don't come around..but as soon as i'm in the pool,they do..lol
