I have one 55 gallon tank and I am getting another and already I am out of room! How do people fit tanks that are 100 gallons or more into any room? With my two 55 gallon tanks my living room is half fish tank (my gf is not too happy about me getting the new one!).

They have special "fish rooms" devoted to fish that contain many aquaria.

I have a fish room down the basement where I keep my 10 gallon and smaller tanks that I do guppy breeding in. They are easily stackable though on shelves. A 200 gallon tank would take up an entire wall of a room or more including all the equipment.

I mean really big rooms. Most people prefer many smaller tanks anyway as opposed to one huge tank, unless of course they are opting for a species tank for a large fish like oscars, piranhas, arowanas, or bala sharks.

I try and do a little of both =) I have in my basement, everything from a 120(working on an acrylic 300 gal), down to my little 10 gallon hatch out tanks. Every tank inbetween i think, lol. They start to crowd, you build shelves, then they start to spread :D

stick it in a wall. Thats what i want to do in my room but my walls are too thin. So yea cut a hole in the wall and put a mirror over the tank but it's really a discise to cover up the eccess space to open and turn on the lights! (i have it all planed out :)

for tank, stand, and gravel, pennplex 1500, fluval 304, glass tops, double strip flourescent lights, and a few odds and ends of decor, it was $1600 approx. plus i added $160 for driftwood and plants, and my nitrites have finally dropped to .25 so i should know this weekend how much the fish cost :D

forgot to add that you will probably have to hire someone to actually move it. the tank empty weighs almost 400 lbs. my husband and son in law moved it, and they are still mad at me :p

What is the footprint for that? Just want to know, 500 gallon is not in realm of reality for me at the moment, but the 210 is?
