huge snail problem

are there any turtles that eat snails and can survive in an aquarium with tiger barbs, bala sharks and such?

Turtles? Any turtles you got would eventually eat the fish too. You could try loaches. Most species will eat snails.

Loaches might be your best bet.

Yeah, loaches, assuming your tank is large enough or you get a smaller loach. Also, turtles that are available in the trade are semi-aquatic, so they need a terrarium, or a whatever-they-are-called , half aquarium half terrarium. This is in addition to the fact that they would, sonner rather than later, eat your fish. Plus I don't think snails are on any/most turtle's menus.
