240l tank, 66usg, about 13x turnover, very well planted with co2 etc

4 angles
1 blue acara
1 keyholes
1 german blue ram
8 corys
5 pitbull plecs
20 rummy nose tetras

is this ok.

Should be, watch the acara with the ram, normally ok, but it could bully the ram when fully grown. I would drop the number of rummys too, maybe 10-15.

I would definitely have two rams, Apart from that stocking is good

should also add that an adult Blue Acara may take a disliking to the plants

oh ok. well this is going to be a planted tank. my first "aquascape" so i dont really want it to be ruined. will think about that one

Would the Acara be fine with the rummy nose tetras? I had an acara for a little during my novice fish keeping years, made the mistake of buying it and it ate a bunch of my small tetras

What is the smallest tank mate a blue acara can have? I haven't been able to find much information on that. Apparently they don't like platies/swords and try to eat them. Same for neon tetras. Rummys and cardinals aren't much larger than neons, would it try to eat them? Is the platy/sword thing incorrect?

IME platys and swords are good tankmates for a Blue Acara,
My first BA was kept with Swords, as well as Pristella, Serpae and Black Phantoms.

If you mix the Blue Acara in when its young they should be ok with the smaller fish
